04.01.2025 In this week’s T-Magazine article about all-time favorite bathrooms, our work is featured again with one of our favorite images: The view from her bathroom towards Central Park, with the custom-made wooden Hinoki tub in the foreground (photo by Devon Banks Photography)
At 432 Park Avenue, even the bathrooms receive excellent views, with almost all rooms flanked by large 10 by 10 feet windows. The bathtub sits on an elevated platform, clad in centuries-old recycled Japanese paving stone. The wall are lined with tuff stone from northern Japan.
This project is a collaboration between YUN Architecture (local architect) and world famous artist and photographer Hiroshi Sugimoto, together with his architecture office New Material Research Laboratory in Tokyo, Japan (design architect).
